TOWN OF HANOVER ~ SCHEDULE OF FEES

 

BUILDING PERMIT FEES:

•¨       For 1 and 2 family dwellings, new construction, or alterations to same, including porch or patio enclosed, pole barn and car ports;

•o        0 - 1,000 sq. ft. = $60.00

•o        1,000 - 2,000 sq. ft. = $120.00

•o        over 2,000 sq. ft. = $120.00 plus $10.00 per 25 sq. ft. increase rounded to nearest 25 sq. ft.

•¨       Attached garages under 600 sq.ft. = $50.00

•¨       Detached garages under 600 sq.ft. = $25.00

•¨       Any garage over 600 sq.ft. =  an additional fee of $25.00

•¨       For multiple dwellings and commercial buildings as follows;

•o        0 - 1,000 sq.ft. = $130.00

•o        1,000 - 2,000 sq. ft. = $260.00

•o        2,000 - 3,000 sq.ft. = $390.00

•o        over 3,000 sq.ft. = $390.00 plus $20.00 per 50 sq.ft. increase

Developer or owner must pay all extra fees for plan reviews, SEQR review, etc.

Multiple dwellings of more than three (3) apartments or use will be assessed $25.00 per apartment or use.

Any work commenced before permit is issued - a surcharge of 50% of the cost of the permit will be added.

 

ADDITIONAL FEES:

•¨       Requested inspections outside of regular business hours = $25.00

•¨       Additional review as required by revision to plans:

•o        1 and 2 family dwellings = $25.00

•o        Multiple dwellings = $50.00

•o        Commercial Buildings = $50.00

•o        Demolition Permit = $50.00

•¨       Appeals to Zoning Board;

•o        Special Use Permit = $40.00 (plus applicant pays legal notification)

•o        Variance = $50.00 (plus legal notification)

•¨       Planning Board

•o        Minor subdivision = $40.00 (plus $10.00 per lot - Town pays legal notification)

•o        Major subdivision = $100.00 plus $10.00 per lot plus $100.00 upon final approval

•¨       Junk Yard Permits = $25,00 per year

•¨       Swimming Pools = $25.00

•¨       Open Decks = $25.00

•¨       Yard Fences = $25.00

•¨       Communication Towers:

•o        Special Tower Permit = $2,000.00

•o        Site Plan Review = $3,000.00

•o        Co-User Permit/Existing Structure = $1,000.00

•o        Building Permit = $20.00 per line or foot from grade to upper most point

•¨       Wind Energy Conversion Systems:

•o        Wind Overlay Zone rezoning = $500.00 per zone (if applicable)

•o        WECS Special Use Permit = $50.00 per megawatt of rated maximum capacity

•o        Wind Measurement Tower = $200.00 per tower

•o        Wind Measurement Tower Special Use Permit renewals = $50.00 per tower

•o        The cost of all legal notices and mailings shall be assessed to the applicant

 

 

The Town Board reserves the right to charge additional reasonable fees to the applicant for engineering and/or other consultant services as may from time to time be required in conjunction with reviewing and analyzing pertinent information relative to such application.
